Planting Seeds of Change: Our First Year

The launch of the Teresia Waihuini Foundation in 2021 marked a momentous occasion for the Kiru community and beyond. As we reflect on our first year, we are humbled by the impact we've been able to make in honoring Teresia's legacy of compassion, education, and environmental stewardship.

Education: The Foundation of Change

In our inaugural year, we awarded 50 full secondary school sponsorships to exceptional students from Kiru Location who demonstrated both academic excellence and financial need. Each sponsorship covers tuition, books, uniforms, and other essential supplies, ensuring that no child's potential is limited by economic circumstances.

"Education was Teresia's greatest passion. She believed that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow, regardless of their background."

Environmental Impact

Alongside our education initiatives, we launched an ambitious tree planting campaign. Working with local volunteers and schools, we planted 500 indigenous trees across Kiru Location. These trees not only help combat climate change but also restore natural habitats and improve soil quality for local farmers.
